By downloading, installing, or using the GlyBeat application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, whether on a free or paid plan. By continuing to use the App after we post changes to these Terms, you accept the updated Terms.
GlyBeat is a wellness and self-management tool designed to support people living with diabetes. It provides informational content, AI-assisted coaching through Zen and Sage, food logging, glucose tracking, medication reminders, and related features.
GlyBeat is not a medical device. Nothing in the App constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content — including AI-generated responses from Zen and Sage — is for general informational and wellness purposes only. Always consult your GP, endocrinologist, or qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your health, medication, or diet.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should use the App with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately by emailing us if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
GlyBeat offers a free tier and premium subscription plans. Premium plans are offered on a monthly or annual basis at the prices listed in the App. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle or store your payment card details.
GlyBeat is an informational wellness tool, not a regulated medical device. Specifically:
GlyBeat is classified as a general wellness application and is not regulated as a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) by the MHRA, FDA, or any other regulatory authority.
You agree not to:
All content, features, and functionality within the App — including but not limited to the GlyBeat name, logo, interface design, Zen and Sage AI characters, and underlying code — are the exclusive property of GlyBeat and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Zen and Sage use Anthropic's Claude AI models to generate responses. By using these features, your messages are sent to Anthropic's servers to produce a reply. We do not store your conversation content on our servers beyond your device. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they process your data.
AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. We do not warrant the accuracy of any AI output. You should independently verify any health information before acting on it.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Your health data is stored on your device only and is not shared with us or third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GlyBeat and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or health outcomes — arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £10, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GlyBeat and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that we reasonably believe is harmful to GlyBeat, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
On termination, any data stored locally on your device remains under your control. Any server-side account data will be deleted within 30 days of your request.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Where the changes are material, we will notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
